Warm Season Turf

Our Warm Season Turf Program for Zoysia and Bermuda has been designed to address the special needs of Atlanta’s warm season turf.

In early spring we will use of a blend of nitrogen and potassium high fertilizer to promote root growth. We apply a pre-emergent herbicide to prevent those ugly spring weeds from starting and a post-emergent to tackle existing weeds.

The next spring application contains a second treatment of pre-emergent herbicide to prevent crabgrass. Nitrogen is used to help the turf break dormancy along with potassium to further stimulate the root zone. Post-emergent herbicides are used on existing weeds

Early, mid and late summer applications are designed to strengthen the turf using balanced fertilizers and post emergent weed control to maintain optimum appearance. We also scout for various insects and diseases and treat the affected areas at no additional cost.

The fall application consists of a blend of pre-emergent targeting winter weeds and potassium for root growth. We have found that a strong root system helps reduce the frequency of winter dead spots.

The last visit of the season in late fall is one of the most important. Dolomitic limestone is applied to build the soil. Lime is essential to allow the turf access to the calcium and magnesium it needs to thrive.

From the Early Spring visit to stop those weeds from growing in your warm season turf, to the Winterizing treatment in the fall for root development, we only use professional grade products to produce superior results.
